"BUG" CONTEST

Get creative and make your own giant bug!  Will your spider, insect, or creepy crawly look like a real bug or like a bug of your dreams or nightmares?

* For kids ages 6-12

* Make a bug (spider, insect or other creepy crawly) model from household non-perishable items.

* Bug can be no bigger than 18 inches x 18 inches

* One entry per kid

* Turn in your bug and fill out entry form at the Kids Info Desk

* DEADLINE: FRIDAY, JUNE 27 AT 6:00 PM

* Winners will be announced on Friday, July 25

See and handle live animals when Outdoor Discovery Center visits with insects, spiders and their relatives!  Learn how these animals survive through predation, camouflage, and habitat preferences.

Live life as a bug for an hour when naturalists from the DeGraaf Nature Cener help kids explore the sight, hearing, and extra body parts of insects!  Audience participation.

Have your logs turned in by 5:00 pm to receive your final prizes and turn in your final entries for the drawings!
