Tell Us Your Story

NoteLoutit District Library has deep roots in the community we serve, and the stories our patrons share with us about all the ways they use and are invested in the library move, inspire and motivate us. Patrons have told us how they’ve used the library not only to borrow materials, but to find employment, reconnect with long-lost friends and family, learn new skills and spend time with the ones they care about. Those stories should be told and where better to share stories than at the library? Beginning this summer, library users will have the opportunity to tell everyone how the Loutit District Library has influenced them. Look for “Tell Us Your Story” postcards around the library or click the “Tell Us Your Story” link on our website. We want users to share their memories and communicate the importance of the library to them, their families, and our community. In two years, the library will be celebrating its 100th year in Grand Haven, that’s a lot of stories! Your stories help us advocate for public libraries with elected officials and prove what an important asset the library is to the citizens of our community. The next time you’re in the library, take a postcard and write down your library experiences or log on to our blog to “Tell Us Your Story.”
