Chromebooks Now Available

Chromebooks are now available to checkout at the Check-Out desk on the Upper Level!

What is a Chromebook:

A Chromebook is portable computer that is optimized for internet use. They are designed to be used while connected to the Internet, using the Chrome browser and digital apps. Loutit District Library patrons can place holds, but they are first-come, first-serve for non-LDL patrons.

What to know:

They are a 7-day checkout and come with a power cord and carrying case. Chromebooks MUST be returned to the Check Out desk: Chromebooks placed in the book returns will accrue a $10 fine. If there are multiple offenses, the patron will no longer be able to checkout a Chromebook. LDL staff clears the Chromebook of user info between each checkout. If you have previously checked out a Chromebook, your information, passwords, and files will not be saved.

This project is funded in part with a Library Services and Technology Act grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services administered by the Library of Michigan.
